Goldfish by HispanicOrca Goldfish by HispanicOrca
I know the title isn't very original, but meh. Oh, and the orange one is mine, by the way. The one below mines is my older brother's; the one on the right is my little brother's. We've had these fish for a couple of years now, which I believe was since the time I was a 6th grader. One of the fish just survived some sickness or something. I'm glad things turned out to be alright:)

It's been a while since I posted something. This the first thing I've submitted so far this year.

.... Yeah I need a new tank, don't I?

True. Eventually, they're going to get larger.

No! NOW!
Goldfish are extremely dirty, and in a small tank they will get ammonia poisoning! It is a rule of thumb for every inch of fish, there be 10 gallons of water. So you need basically a pond for those unless you wanna invest thousands in a massive tank.

Whoah! Easy there. Honestly, I understand that my fish REALLY need a new tank (or a pond as you mentioned). It's just the problem is that back where I live, it's like -28 F. There's 14 inches of snow right now, so driving certainly isn't trouble-freeSweating a little...   However, I will definitely consider your advice. No really, I will. I care a lot about my pets, and I would never let anything horrible happen to them. And thanks in advance.

Oh um... thanks. *sighs* I feel like my fish are poorly raised. After the last comments I got from this, I don't feel too good anymore:/

I understand that he was just giving me help on what's good and bad for the fish, but I feel like he meant it harshly when he said this "No! NOW!" Or maybe it's just that I'm too sensitive. I don't know. Anyway, thanks.

Yeah well some people think they know everything about everything. I had SIX goldfish about the size of yours in a tank exactly like that and they lived for five years quite happy. Doesn't matter how big the tank as long as your fish can turn around.

Funny, 5 years is nothing for a goldfish. Goldfish are supposed to live on average for 20 years, and some even make it into their fourties. Five years isnt even a toddler by goldfish years.

I see what you mean. And wow, 5 years? That's great! So I'm assuming this isn't bad for the fish?
